Welcome to a quilting adventure where simplicity meets creativity!

In this course, "Simple Shapes Create Dynamic Results," you'll discover the art of creating stunning quilts using just a few basic shapes. If you're a quilter or fiber artist looking to inject a burst of creativity into your work without too much engineering, this course is for you... And I'll be working along with you - I have so many ideas to share!

All sessions will be recorded and available for one month after our last class. It's no problem if you miss one or more! 

In this engaging and fast-paced course, we will focus on using simple shapes in various sizes to construct a vibrant and dynamic art quilt.

This approach is perfect for those moments when you want to create a piece without too much engineering. While I enjoy complex and time-consuming projects, I've crafted this course to offer an alternative.

Our focus in this workshop will be:

  • Palette Selection: We'll kick off by choosing your color palette, setting the stage for a fun and creative experience. This initial step allows you to express your individuality and set the tone for your quilt. We will be using solid fabric in this workshop, and textured is fine… Grunge, Jen Sampou’s Ombres, Gradations, hand dyed fabric, etc. All of these will enhance your results. 


  • Improv Approaches: The course emphasizes the value of improvising from multiple perspectives. By practicing different methods—ranging from straightforward to challenging—you'll enhance your adaptability as a quilter. This flexibility will empower you to tackle any project with confidence and creativity.


  • Fast and Fun Techniques: Whether you're participating in a quilting challenge or simply want to create quickly, these techniques can transform your approach. You'll learn how to produce remarkable results in a more relaxed and enjoyable manner.


  • Scrap Utilization: This course is also an excellent opportunity to use those fabric scraps you've been saving. Discover how even the simplest shapes can come together to form impressive designs.

    There are no refunds, however, if your schedule should change prior to the start date, you will receive a credit for the amount paid towards a future workshop I host. Once the Workshop begins, there are no credits for missing any or all of the sessions.

  • If you miss a day...

    I understand that things may come up unexpectedly, and if you miss a class or a portion of one, a recording will be available within a few hours. All recordings will be available for one month after the completion of the course. So no worries, you won't miss anything.
